2007 Luckystone Red
|Wine Type:||Red Wine|
|Varietal:||Vinifera Red Blend|
A delightful red table wine blended from Cabernet Franc (40%), Pinot Noir (22%), Merlot (34%), and Cabernet Sauvignon (3%). Ruby in color, with a nose that exhibits red fruits, light herbs, and a touch of cedar oak. The wine is medium bodied with light tannins and red fruits and a hint of earthiness and oak in the finish.
The grapes were harvested in October 2007: with Pinot Noir on the 1st, Merlot on the 15th, Cabernet Franc on the 22nd, and Cabernet Sauvignon on the 25th. Good ripeness was achieved and ranged from 21.5 Brix (Cabernet Franc) to 22.3 Brix (Pinot Noir). Yeast included D254 and BM45. All lots were pressed at dryness and racked into older, neutral barrels.
This is an excellent house wine for everyday meals.
