2009 Waterfall Chardonnay

The Waterfall Chardonnay is pale lemon with delicate notes of kiwi and tropical fruit. palate of tropical fruit and pear enhanced by a blast of grapefruit. Refreshing and light.
The Chardonnay was harvested on October 15, 2009 yielding 5.4 tons with harvest chemistry of 19.7 Brix, a TA of 8.7 g/L, and a pH of 2.99. After being crushed, it was racked into tanks and fermented for 20 days. Malolatic fermentation lasted nearly 5 months and finished on March 19, 2010. The lees were stirred vigorously into the wine on a weekly basis from November until February.
