|Wine Type:||White Wine|
Bright greeny straw in color, this Gewürztraminer has a luscious nose of orange blossom and roses. A silky texture that ends in spice, this wine will continue to depth and weight.
The Gewurztraminer was harvested on October 9 yielding 7.4 tons. The fruit was destemmed, crushed, and pumped on October 11. All of the fruit was cold-soaked on skins for three days. The must was pressed on October 14th, with 1300 gal of free run juice. The settled juices were racked to fermentation tanks two days later. The cleared juice lees were fermented separately for 10 days, and later combined with the rest of the wine.
A well-known partner to turkey, chicken, ham and scallops, it is also delectable as an aperitif with smoked oysters, fried calamari or bacon and mild Blue cheeses such as Gorgonzola or Maytag Blue.
